Arkwood has been appointed to deliver a green infrastructure strategy for Newham. The Strategy will be a multi-faceted assessment Newham’s green infrastructure assets and will include the development of new standards for greenspace provision that will inform the Local Plan review. The strategy will consider the significance of Newham’s green infrastructure in addressing the climate change and biodiversity emergencies and will assess the impact of green infrastructure on health and wellbeing borough-wide and at ’15 Minute Neighbourhood’ level. The strategy will be developed collaboratively with Newham, its partners and key stakeholders and people living and working in the borough to ensure that the capacity of green infrastructure to deliver ecosystem services continues in the face of significant demographic change over the next 20 years.
