Arkwood have been invited by heritage consultants Britton McGrath to develop a new spatial masterplan for Audley End. This iconic Grade I listed Jacobean building is set in a landscape designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown in the mid-18th century. Arkwood’s masterplanning work will form part of a larger study by Britton McGrath that is considering the broad functioning of one of English Heritage’s most popular attractions. The study will form part of a business case to support major investment in the site and its infrastructure over the next 10 years. Arkwood’s work focuses on assessing the main layers of heritage significance that the site presents and developing a rich and coherent visitor offer across the whole landscape.
